Two trays rest on and within each other. The trays area of resting relies on the radii of the top an bottom interior edges. Additionally, interior sloped surfaces allow the trays to hold one another without slipping or sliding. the idea of resting allows for smooth surfaces to be revealed,

 

Once apart, while maintaining a true and pure exterior surface. the sloped reveal changes when the trays rotate only subtly showing the point of contact between the two. the two trays can be apart or come together to create a singular item.
